Leo Season Musings + Style Notes
Life just got a little luckier! The Sun is officially back in its home sign for Leo season—our annual reminder to trust ourselves, love harder, and seize the day.
A fixed sign, Leo energy reminds us that we’re not simply here to appease others, or for any reasons that are all that serious. With Leo, life is rather what you make it. At its highest, this sign’s signature is one of falling in love with yourself and life itself; taking accountability for the joy you are—or aren’t—experiencing, and in the case of the latter, empowering yourself to bring about what’s rather desired.
This fiery signature (ruled by both the solar-plexus and heart chakras) is one of the most proactive of the whole zodiac; fueled by a drive to fill its own cup. Leo energy knows that it’s from a natural overflow, that one can be most creative, and effective in producing a positive impact on the world around them.
Leo season is always a time for joy, adornment, flirting with the biggest possibilities imaginable, owning your potential, and saying yes to what makes you feel alive. But this year, the energies are even more heightened, as Jupiter (our planet of luck and expansion), is also travelling through Leo, rendering it one of the most potent Leo Seasons we've had in over a decade.
There's another reason this month will feel especially significant. The Lunar South Node is also just about to move into Leo, initiating an 18-month chapter of releasing Leo “shadow” habits we all carry. What these might be will of course vary from person-to-person, but broadly, we’re dealing with themes like shrinking yourself to make others more comfortable, fearing judgement (to the point it stops you from putting yourself out there), or believing you're somehow 'too much'.
This Leo season (and indeed the whole 18 months with Leo on the South Node) is here to remind us that self-expression is a birthright. Plus, beautifully, the more authentically we show up… the more we inspire others to do the same.
Wardrobe-wise? Leo loves a statement. This is your excuse to wear the outfit you've been saving for a special occasion, for no other reason other than that you want to, to throw on the gold jewellery, embrace rich colours, oversized accessories, dramatic sleeves, a bold lip—or whatever makes you feel the most like you. After all, Leo energy knows confidence is the best look!
